In Parish Registers the early spellings of Vickers are often the phonetic interpretation of the Clerk and cover a wide range, but I have yet to establish a connection with Vigers, Vigors, Vigars, Viggars etc.

 In Scotland we also have McVicar and McVickers – I have yet to establish a connection
